du Rhône vineyards, with its tannic red wines, fruity and full-bodied, as well as
their small production of white wines. Extending over more than 3,300 hectares, it

planted by the Popes in the Middle Ages, and have been famous ever since the 18th
century. Châteauneuf du Pape became the first officially recognised ‘appellation
d’origine contrôlée’ of the Côtes du Rhône in 1936.
You’ll be invited to take a guided tour with commentary(explanations about “terroir”,
the different grape varieties, winemaking…)of cellars of twogreat wineries. You’ll
have the opportunity to find out more and taste the wines and vintages of Châteauneuf

to visit the hill-top castle, and admire the fabulous views over the vineyards, the
Rhône Valley, Avignon and its Papal City, the Alpilles, the Luberon, the Mont Ventoux…
